Cromwell would be perfect. It’s a gorgeous small town. It’s close to the mountains, 20 minutes from Alexandra (which gets quite hot in summer) and an hour from Queenstown and Wanaka which are popular tourist destinations. References : Kiwi with friends in Cromwell

Tauranga defiantly! I’ve lived there for 6 years and it is a beautiful place to live! the atmosphere is great and you can’t miss out ! References :

I think you would like Cromwell or Alexandra. Maybe Lake Hawea or Wanaka, but those two are more popular as holiday towns. The other two are more regular small towns. All are very near major skiing mountains and very close to Queenstown – one of the most popular tourist centers but still a relavtively small city. References : I’m a kiwi
