I would say a physical thing might be the line along Lampton Quay where the old shore line USED to be before the ..hmm 1858 (?) earthquake…the other thing could the 2 major fault lines.
The beehive might be more historical???

Te Papa which means "Our Place" and is supposed to be the National museum showing all the nations treasures is a cultural place. It has displays of our history, how the country has evolved, alot of interactive displays, and usually short term displays.
The Kelburn cable car would be historic. It is old and runs up the hill to the Botanical gardens.
Another interesting cultural attraction if you would call it that is a walk that takes you through an area of Wellington where Katherine Mansfield lived. ( The New Zealand author) You can go through her house, and relate some of her descriptions to the area.
I would say Mt Victoria could be a physical attraction. I would have thought The Beehive would be. References : Gail

The Shoreline that runs through Victoria St. Also, as a more recent discovery, the apartment site in Taranaki St just next to Molly Malones unearthed historic pa/beach material from the 1800s. It’s been very carefully preserved. References :
both the museum and the beehive are unique to Wellington, but I can’t imagine many people visit Wellington to see the Beehive compared with going there to see the Museum.
Are you suppose to discuss man-made attraction or anything? Wellington harbour is itself an attraction especially to sailors and Mount Victoria offers create scenario.
Man-made: you have the Queen Victoria statue, the cenotaph remembering those who died for our freedom, the botanical gardens.
