"What's the best way to see New Zealand?” I asked myself. After some research I found Red Carpet Tours. The decision to go on the 14 Day Lord of the Rings Tour was easy. Covering both North and South Islands; Hobbiton, Trollshaw Forest, WETA, Wellington, Meniscus, Edoras and many more locations, as well as meet and greets with artists and extras, this tour was not only amazing but personal and dedicated to taking the fans through a real Middle Earth experience. Julie was a great tour leader, but exceeded the word leader because of what she did for us. Negative 2 degrees, wailing winds, hail and snow, she was determined to get us to Mordor and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Being there and even in leaving we feel a part of the Red Carpet Tour Family. The knowledgeable local guides Deanna (Wellington) and Ben and Sue (Queenstown/full tour) were fantastic to have around and the friendships are still strong now that I’m home.
The standard of Hotels and Food were comfortable and delicious. Many hotel locations were in walking distance from the main streets of the cities, which was brilliant for us late nighters. I promise you will not starve on this tour! I was very happy with the coaches used; the drivers were full of information and they always made sure everyone was comfortable.
I look through my 3,300 photos daily and in all honesty, I’m lost for words, in a good way! Doing the 14 Day Tour was and is, by far, the best thing I have ever done in my life, and I wish I could go back and live it forever. I would love to tell you of all the memories and friends I’ve made, but it would take too long. So…what’s the best way to see New Zealand? Red Carpet Tours, that’s how!!
