This tour is IDEAL for those who don't have a lot of time but still want to see Cathedral Cove's spectacular scenery.
Our tour will visit the key sites of the coast Shakespear’s bluff, Cathedral Cove plus a visit to the marine reserve to sea the amazing resident fish life including the amazing snapper schools, large blue cod and if you are lucky the elusive stingray.

Departing 10.30am, 1.30pm and 4.30pm (by arrangement)
On this trip we extend the time to 2 1/2 hours. This enables us to give you an in-depth look at the volcanic coastline with its many sea caves, blow holes and golden beaches. Leaving from Whitianga wharf, we journey below the towering Shakespeare's cliff, cooks blow hole and past the historic Cooks Beach.
We visit Cathedral Cove and the islands in the Marine Reserve, then explore the spectacular volcanic coastline down to Orua cave
We will enter a variety of sea caves around the coast including Cooks blow hole, The big Blow hole in champagne bay and of course the magnificent Orua cave.
Swimming with the fish in the Marine Reserve with our on board snorkel gear is an amazing experience. We will provide life jackets for those less confident in the water. If available on the day our crew can be in the water to assist if required. Please ask in advance if you might need this additional assistance.
We like to run a tour tailored especially for your groups needs. whether it be additional swimming and snorkelling or even dive charter. We are happy to discuss what you would like to do for a special occasion.
Some of the options you have are.
Extended snorkeling time - we can omit some of the scenic touring to allow for more time in the water.
Cave swimming - We have a spot where the keen swimmer can swim inside an amazing sea cave often packed with fish, and this is an area where water clarity can be unbelievably good.
Food and drink - You are welcome to bring a picnic, snacks and something to quench the thirst on our custom tours.
Fun for kids - We have some additional tricks up our sleeve to really get the fun meter up , bring your camera or video to capture these wonderful moments.
