Open from 9am until dark we also stock thermal and wet weather gear for hiking and have an extensive range of merino product.
Located behind the large Takahe statue on the main street of Te Anau, Fiordland House was opened in October 1982 by Bert and Lorna Bradley of Te Anau. The shop was less than a quarter of the current size and sold predominantly NZ Made hand knit sweaters and woollen underwear. Ian and Claire Collie took over ownership in July 1987 and over the years the shop has been enlarged and the stock has moved to include a range of leisurewear products while still keeping the NZ Made products which now mostly involve possum and merino content. Keri Antoniak and Ross Kerr purchased the business in July 2012 from the Collies who were retiring to their property on the outskirts of Te Anau.
