Roundhill is owned by Tekapo locals Oskar and Karoline Rieder, their children grew up skiing at Roundhill and they have created a ski field with Mum, Dad and the kids in mind. It’s a very relaxed, social, family atmosphere – you’ll meet like-minded people who are only too happy to have a yarn about the day and the spectacular environment surrounding you.
Everyone enjoys their skiing together – it’s the kind of place you make friends for life.
Lifts
We have a huge beginners area with a gentle gradient and plenty of space, the beginners area features 3 surface lifts – a poma and 2 rope tows so you learn to ski on the way up and on the way down! This makes for a fun and easy way to find your feet in the snow.
Our two T-Bars give access to plenty of super wide, perfectly groomed intermediate trails with lots of natural dips and curves.
For the more adventurous, head up the world’s longest and steepest rope tow and see what Australasia’s biggest vertical drop (783m) is all about. Offering super long natural half pipes and chutes this is skiing and riding at its best.
For the freestylers, our terrain park has a small range of jumps, rollers, rails and boxes.
