Luxury Accommodation
Terrace Downs offers a choice of two deluxe accommodation options. Terrace Villa Suites are self-contained units with luxurious beds, a delightful raised spa bath and spacious open-plan living areas. There are 13 Villa Suites in the accommodation pool ranging from one to three bedroom suites, and the Patiti Suite, the family villa.
Chalets are separate architecturally designed four to seven bedroom houses spread out amongst the front nine holes of the golf course. These beautiful chalets boast all modern conveniences and great indoor-outdoor living areas with stunning views over the golf course to Mt Hutt.
Golf Course
Based at the foothills of the Southern Alps, there are few scenic alpine courses like it. The Golf Course at Terrace Downs is fun and challenging for all golfers, from the first time golfer to the aspiring professional. Terrace Downs Golf Resort is ranked as one of New Zealand’s top five for layout and is the only high country golf course to make the grade. Designed by Sid Puddicombe, the 18-hole par 72 championship course is 6,406m (7,006yds) long. The Parkland style front 9 course is sheltered with a ‘Woodland’ feel. The links style back 9 course with its open and tranquil setting, is described as having a ‘Scottish’ feel.
Since its official opening in 2001, the course has continually received countless international and national accolades.
Along with the golf course, a driving range is available for practice before your round, or just as a fun family activity.
Restaurants
The spectacular Terrace Downs Clubhouse is home to two restaurants.
The Cafe offers delicious casual all-day dining in a warm and welcoming atmosphere complimented by stunning mountain views and a roaring fire during the winter. The blackboard and a la carte menus offer a range to suit all diners at any time of the day - perfect for a light lunch with friends or a hearty meal after a round of golf.
Hunters Restaurant features a flavoursome menu inspired by the surrounding environment. Leather sofas and a large open fireplace with sweeping views completes the experience.
Day Spa
The Spa at Terrace Downs offers a tranquil and peaceful sanctuary for you to escape the daily stresses of urban life and surrender to a spa experience designed to truly relax and rejuvenate mind, body and soul. Soak up the ambiance and unwind with a combination of relaxing massage therapy with soothing aromatherapy oils and the finest natural skin products available. Finish your spa experience by relaxing with herbal refreshments in our relaxation room or outside in the private tranquil surrounds of Terrace Downs Resort, while taking in the views of the beautiful Southern Alps.

A wide range of activities are available to all house guests and day visitors, from the adrenaline-pumping to the pampering and relaxing.
Many of our activities are available right here on-site at the resort, while others are just a short drive away, and we are always happy to help with transport, though advanced bookings are essential for this.
