She can be chartered either in Auckland or the beautiful Stewart Island, New Zealand and offers a stable ride in luxury and comfort as she explores the sea. Her equipment and fittings are of the highest standard with the Master Stateroom offering exceptional opulence including a jacuzzi tub. A Linn surround sound system with flat panel screens are installed throughout for extra entertainment. There is a large seating area behind the top flybridge with a wet bar, refrigerator and icemaker – an ideal spot to enjoy the views.

The Great Southern is 23 metres long, 6.5 metres wide, has a top speed of 12 knots and a range of over 9,000 miles. She sleeps six people in two double beds and 4 singles.
Overnight Cruise

Why not charter our luxurious vessel for an overnight trip or longer as up to six people can stay aboard. Accommodation, a professional captain and all meals, drinks, snacks, equipment and the option of shark diving (Stewart Island location only) are included. Sharon and Gordon, locals with a Titi house which looks down on the Stewart Island dive site, will entertain you with local cuisine. Few other holidays offer such an unforgettable experience!

Stewart Island or Rakiura in Maori, usually translated as Glowing Skies, is the third-largest island of New Zealand. Its permanent population is slightly over 400 people, most of whom live in the settlement of Oban. There is a general store, postal agency, DOC Visitor Centre, restaurant, cafes and various accommodation options. From here there are a number of tracks suitable for day walks.

Stewart Island is a beautiful, unspoilt wilderness that is home to New Zealand’s most southerly national park, Rakiura National Park, which comprises 85% of the island. There are a variety of outdoor activities available including hunting, diving, fishing, walking, tramping, mountain biking, bird watching, kayaking and scenic flights. Stewart Island is a haven for native bird life and the only place in New Zealand where you can readily see kiwi in their natural habitat.

Auckland
