Take in the experience as we travel from Queenstown into the farm country of Southland and around the mountains into the breath-taking Fiordland National Park. The beauty of our Milford Sound Tours is that around every corner there is something new to discover and with our small groups, there is plenty of time to enjoy each stop.
BBQ LUNCH
In the world famous Fiordland National Park, we break for our delicious BBQ lunch. Whilst your driver prepares a tasty lunch, take a short walk and breathe in the fresh alpine air. There are some fantastic walks in the area and this is a great opportunity to experience the beautiful alpine beech forest up close. The lunch stop and walk is a good chance to get to know the other people on the bus.
During the Winter months (May - Oct), the BBQ lunch in prepared and served on board the scenic cruise.
MILFORD SOUND CRUISE
Our Milford Sound Tours then link up with a spectacular Milford Sound Cruise, where the wonders of the area will unfold. Being a spacious purpose built boat, the comfortable interior has large windows for great viewing of the magnificent surroundings. Keep a look out for native wildlife such as dolphins, seals, and penguins!
The duration is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. There is complimentary tea and coffee on the boat or experience the fresh mountain water available.
FLIGHT OPTIONS
There is an opportunity for a stunning flight back from Milford Sound to Queenstown at the conclusion of the cruise by fixed wing aircraft the flight takes approx 40 minutes. This flight truly is awe inspiring and gives you a chance to experience this magnificent area by land, sea and sky. Check out the information on the bus and talk to your driver/guide, bookings can be made on the day of travel, or contact our reservations team for pre book options.
The journey back is a time to reflect. We can recommend a few restaurants and bars you might like to sample on our return. We can drop you off at your accommodation or downtown.
