Massage is considered to be one of the oldest of all treatments for healing the human body. It is an important part of physical rehabilitation, and provides an overall feeling of well being and relaxation. Our Aix (pronounced “aches” ironically enough), Therapeutic and Relaxation are the most popular of our massages.
Mud Treatments & More
Rotorua mud is very high in minerals due to its contact with the volcanic gases and minerals from the earth’s centre. Because of this high mineral content the mud stores heat easily when it’s warmed, which makes it ideal for heat treatments.
Rachel Pools
Bathing in hot mineral water for health benefits and pleasure has been practiced for centuries. Water from the Rachel Spring is alkaline and sulphurous, which is renowned for its softening effects on the skin and its relaxing properties. There are two Rachel Pools; the hotter one is at 40°C (104°F), while the tepid one is kept at 35°C (95°F).
Specialty Massage
We are proud to offer the following specialty massages. These treatments cater for more specific requirements. Generally, forward bookings are required for these massages, as only a limited number of our therapists have the specific training involved for these treatments.
Spa Packages
We offer a variety of packages. Some are for pure relaxation and indulgence, and others are designed more specifically to benefit your general health and wellbeing.
Relaxation Package: Includes mud packs, 30 minute Aix massage, mud facial/foot massage and a Facial Pamper Pack.
Rejuvenation Package: Includes mud bath, 60 minute therapeutic/remedial massage, hand and foot paraffin wax and a Bath Pamper Pack.
Deluxe Suite Package: (2 persons) Exclusive use of our deluxe suite, including double mud bath, choice of 60 minute massage or massage/body scrub combination and a Deluxe Pamper Pack.
Beauty
The Beauty Room is available for all your face and body maintenance.
We use O.P.I. nail care, the luxurious French Thalgo Facial product range and Pharo Sugaring Wax.
These beauty treatments are a perfect way of adding pure pampering to your therapeutic Spa therapies.
And now we have state-of-the art St Tropez spray tanning.
