Plateau Lodge & Shuttles is located in New Zealand’s National Park Village on the cusp of the Tongariro National Park.

We are a family-operated lodge with a variety of accommodation to suit all travellers. Budget private rooms with or without a bathroom, fully self-contained apartments and camper van sites.
Facilities
Plateau Lodge is the perfect gateway to the Dual Heritage Tongariro National Park. We are just a short walk from National Park Village's bus and train station. Our township has the following services, 4 Square supermarket, Restaurants, cafes, rental for ski hire and outdoor equipment.
Tongariro National Park
During summer and winter, Tongariro National Park offers spectacular views of all three volcanoes — covered with either glistening white snow or deep red volcanic rock.
There are plenty of ways to enjoy this beautiful Dual-Heritage national park. There is skiing on Mt Ruapehu, New Zealand’s best one-day hike - the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, the wonderful Tongariro Northern Circuit walk and let’s not forget Ruapehu’s Crater Lake — one of just three like it in the world. Our famous mountain bike trails are suitable for all ages.
Tongariro Transport
Plateau Lodge operates a daily transport service into the Tongariro National Park. Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Whakapapa Village and the Tongariro Northern Circuit.
